Frequently asked questions

Some questions and answers are automatically generated.

What Palestinian ceramic patterns appear in tableware?
The primary ceramic motif is Zahra—a floral design in navy and multicolor—used across serving dishes, dip bowls, olive oil jugs, trays, spoon rests, and mugs. The Olive Tree also carries ceramics with the Zaytoun olive branch motif for everyday serving and coffee use. Kufiya patterning appears on hand-painted mugs and olive oil jugs. Watermelon motifs are featured on mugs and coffee sets. All ceramics are hand-painted and made by Palestinian artisans in al-Khalil, Palestine or Jordan.
Are the products handmade or woven by hand?
Many products are handmade or hand-finished. Kufiyas and shemaghs are woven on looms by Palestinian artisans, often with individually hand-knotted tassels. Tatreez embroidery appears in both machine-stitched and hand-stitched forms. Ceramics are hand-painted. Some pieces like bandanas, scrunchies, and bags are cut or repurposed from full kufiyas by artisans. Limited-edition items and seasonal releases feature hand-stitched embroidery work made in small batches.
Where are the products made?
Most textile and accessory items are made in Jordan by Palestinian artisans. Ceramics are hand-painted either in al-Khalil (Hebron), Palestine or by Palestinian artisans in Jordan. Olive oil is sourced directly from Palestinian producers and imported from Palestine. Select items are made in Palestine itself.
