Aqmar Bait Lahem Tatreez Hoodie – Handmade

This garment is hand-embroidered in traditional Palestinian tatreez by women artisans in Al Baqaa’ Refugee Camp in Jordan.

Through our partnership with Boqaa, each piece is produced slowly and in small quantities, ensuring fair compensation and preserving the integrity of the craft. Tatreez remains a living inheritance — passed from mother to daughter — sustained even in displacement.

The Aqmar Bait Lahem motif draws from the traditional star embroidery of Bethlehem, a region long known for its intricate and highly detailed tatreez patterns. These star forms were historically stitched as symbols of guidance and protection — geometric expressions of continuity across generations.

Each hoodie is hand-embroidered in traditional Palestinian tatreez by women artisans in Al Baqaa’ Refugee Camp in Jordan, in partnership with Boqaa — an embroidery collective committed to preserving ancestral craft while creating dignified, fairly compensated work for displaced women.

The central motif is placed deliberately over the chest, balanced and symmetrical, while subtle accent detailing carries the design beyond the focal point. Crafted on a premium heavyweight fleece, the silhouette remains understated — allowing the embroidery to command presence without excess.

Produced in limited quantities, every piece reflects time, lineage, and skill carried forward in exile.
